If you’re wondering whether you should use a bamboo fitted sheet by itself or with a flat sheet, here are some thoughts to ponder. A fitted sheet has the corners sewn in with elastic to stretch across the entire bed. Most Aussies use a fitted sheet as the base layer of their bedding, followed by a quilt. Fitted sheets serve as a barrier between the mattress or mattress protector and your body, ensuring your bedding is clean, comfortable and cosy.
A flat bed sheet is rectangular with finished edges but no three-dimensional shape or elastic. Flat sheets offer functional comfort and cleanliness with a looser fit than fitted sheets. Fans of flat sheets typically use them over a fitted sheet and under a quilt, creating a clean buffer between tired bodies and the quilt. Please note, that sleep safety is paramount for babies and to avoid any chance of suffocation, we recommend only using flat sheets for your toddlers and older children.
